Thursday 12/03/2020
New Hampshire Fish and Game Department deer project leader Dan Bergeron gives us some details into how hunters have taken over twelve thousand deer in the state. So far. and the deer archery season runs for a couple more weeks. Dan explains much of the work Fish and Game wildlife biologists do to provide the information needed to manage our deer herd successfully. And boy has it been successful. New Hampshire is now home to over a hundred thousand deer compared to only 40,000 four decades ago. There are now more deer in the state than ever before. And this state's deer hunters are reaping the rewards of successful deer management by Fish and Game biologists.
