It's Hunting Seasons in New Hampshire for Grouse, woodcock, ducks and geese. (VIDEO)

Tuesday 09/29/2020

The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department opens the annual fall bird and waterfowl seasons this week. Don't forget to throw on that orange hat when you head out hunting, hiking or bike riding. New Hampshire woods will be filling with hunters starting October 1st. Hunting is one of the safest sports you can join. Non hunters should feel absolutely comfortable in our New Hampshire woods this fall thanks to the legion of hunter safety instructors who have been coaching safer hunting here for well over a half century. In fact you cannot hunt in New Hampshire unless you pass the hunter safety course. So there will be lots of hunters afield and in our forests the next several months. You may hear distant shooting, especially early in the morning. Be sure to get outside, with your orange hat on, and enjoy our fall woods along with our hunters.
