My family has been growing a garden and canning dill pickles for as long as I can remember. And that is a long time. Usually it's my daughter Amy and I doing most of the canning under the watchful eye of my soon to be 97 year old mother. Funny it's the little things that slip your mind year to year. Except not my mother. She often slips in the thing that we had not thought about in the nick of time.
