Do New Hampshire Bears Hoot? (VIDEO)

There is a long held belief in New Hampshire that our black bears hoot each spring. I have not seen a scientific evidence of this believe. Long time orphaned bear rehabilitator Ben Kilham of Lyme New Hampshire has not found his dozens of bears he's raised over the years to "Hoot". But bears do seem to have magical powers after all. Like the ability of a chemical in their gall bladder to dissolve gall stones in humans.
