New Hampshire's first moose hunt in 1988 (VIDEO)

I was tasked with running a moose hunting checking station at the Twin Mountain Fish and Game Hatchery in October of 1988. This was the first legal moose season since moose were protected in 1901. Just so happened that I actually checked in the first moose with several TV cameras and press present. It was a big bull moose with a well spoken moose hunter to be interviewed by the press.
