Bear Season Update #8

The unofficial harvest tally for New Hampshire's 2009 bear season stands at 754 bears.  The 2009 season concluded 50 % above the preceding 5-year average (504 bears) and 72 % higher than the 2008 tally (439).  The harvest consisted of 413 males and 341 females yielding a harvest sex ratio of 1.2 males per female.  A seasonal breakdown by region and method follows.
